Where are the best locations to Elope in British Columbia? Nothing sounds better than you and your loved one running away to an incredible location to say “I do”. Keep it simple and plan the day of your dreams. Invite your friends and family, or just keep it the two of you. Today we all seem to forget that this day is really about you. The celebration is about you; if you are happy, everyone should be happy.
Elopements have a special place in my heart and what makes them even more special is being able to choose exactly where you want to have the most important moment of your life. Maybe strolling on a beach, hiking into the mountains for the sunrise, or next to a lake so you can do a plunge right after.
You are here because you want to elope in the West Coast, and I am here to help you find the perfect location to do it.
Salt Spring Island, Bowen Island or Savery Island, to name a few. British Columbia Island Elopements are nothing short of stunning. British Columbia is home to so many beautiful gulf islands where you can create the perfect spot to say your vows. Perhaps you already have an island you normally visit that has sentimental value to you, or find a new place to start your life together.
Do you and your partner love hiking? Let’s head to a remote place for a day you will never forget. BC is full of an endless amount of hikes. Some easy and short, some a bit more challenging. I am more than happy to share a long list of favourites. Picture you and your love, eloping in British Columbia with a beautiful landscape, listening to nothing but the sounds of nature and each other.
BC has more to offer than just the coast and mountains. Head east and you are welcomed by a dreamy desert lake country. With a warmer climate that sees little rain over the summer, it the place you can count on the weather. Surround yourself with wineries, orchards and lakes, it is the perfect place to hold a wedding.
All of these location ideas are amazing, but sometimes you have special place that means the most to you and your partner. Maybe its the place you met, or where you first said I love you… Let’s have a meeting and brainstorm. Maybe it’s somewhere outside of BC, somewhere you travel to often or some place you have always dreamt of going.
Hope these ideas help! Choosing a location should be a fun and exciting thing for your special day.
There is so many other things to think about when planning an elopement like permits, vendors, scheduling, documentation… but one of the most important things for the day and remembering it forever, and thats where I come in. Photographing your day should be a priority, this is something you never want to forget. If you have any other questions, I can always help with that too. I have worked with so many couples now that I am a pro with this stuff.
